✨ Creative at Heart
I’ve always been the person who notices the small details in a photo or a design that make it stand out. Over the last year, I turned that passion into a profession. I partner with small businesses and have successfully monetized my Instagram content by creating imagery and layouts that capture people’s attention.
🎨 My Process
I am self taught and highly motivated. I can spend hours inside Canva tweaking a design until it feels right because I genuinely love the creative process.
My Journey
I grew up in Williamston, SC – a small town where fitting in wasn’t always easy. At 19, my life changed overnight. I found myself navigating the world completely on my own, facing housing insecurity and the challenge of building a life from scratch while coming to terms with my identity as a gay man.
During those years, dreams like traveling or finishing college felt impossible. But I kept going.
During the COVID pandemic, my life began to steady. I was working in hospice care, and I also met my husband, Nick. Moving to Columbia and building a real, supportive relationship changed everything for me. That stability made space for growth, reflection, and eventually creativity to reenter my life.
Why “Off The Rainbow Path”?
The name started when I was brainstorming ideas with my husband, Nick. We were talking about the places we’ve traveled and the “off the beaten path” routes we love to take.
Around that time, the rainbow was an uneasy topic in my family. It was something spoken about in hushed tones or not at all. But as I grew older, I realized I had the power to redefine it. It shifted from being a point of tension to becoming the symbol of the community where I finally found myself. Reclaiming it became part of my healing.
To me, the rainbow isn’t just a symbol on a flag. It represents the storm I made it through to get here and the life I’ve built on the other side. A life shaped by travel, finishing college, and finding real happiness with the person I love.
It stands for equality, finding paths less taken, working with what you have, and turning possibility into reality. That is where the name comes from. It’s a reminder that sometimes you have to go Off The Rainbow Path to truly find yourself.
